In a letter published yesterday (Tuesday), Zionist rabbis heavily criticize the law enforcement system following the events of last Saturday near the Oz Zion settlement in Binyamin. During the incident, a Jewish individual was seriously injured by the actions of Arab assailants and defended himself using his personal firearm. According to the claims of the Burqa Arabs, as a result of the shots fired by the injured resident, one of the Arab assailants, a 19-year-old resident of the village, was killed.
In the letter signed by Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, Rabbi Dov Lior, Rabbi Shlomo Aviner, Rabbi Eliyakim Levanon, Rabbi Ariel Bareli, Rabbi David Dudkevitch, and other rabbis, they criticized the arrest of the Jewish individual who was seriously injured after defending himself from a lynching. They claimed that an injustice has been done.
The rabbis began by saying, "We are engaged in an ongoing struggle for the lands of Israel against the Arab enemy who, through European funding, is seizing the lands of Israel. We are amazed by the law enforcement system in Judea and Samaria, which quickly arrests a wounded Jew on charges of murder, while only after three days it arrests Arabs who injured, beat, threw rocks, and fired flares at Jews. Regrettably, there is no pursuit of truth here, but rather an attempt to appease the international community."
The rabbis added, "The Torah states: 'One law shall be for you,' meaning everyone is equal before the law. This is a fundamental principle in Jewish law and in any legal system worldwide. It is astonishing to us that the law enforcement agencies, the police, and the General Security Service repeatedly disregard this principle. It cannot be that law enforcement and prosecution agencies treat the Arab seizure of land with equanimity, while on the other hand, they uproot orchards and vineyards of Jewish settlers. It cannot be that Arabs build wherever they please without demolition orders, while facing Jews, they implement demolition and expulsion orders."
"We educate our students to respect the authorities. However, when these authorities act inconsistently, we cannot continue to have a relationship of state respect to the law enforcement system. We demand that you rigorously apply the principle of equal measurement towards everyone, as the prophet said, 'Zion shall be redeemed through justice.'"
