One-Form Registration

Relief for jobseekers: registration in one form to the Employment and National Insurance Authority

In the past, unemployed individuals were required to submit parallel forms, register for employment services, and apply for unemployment benefits from the National Insurance Institute. Now, within the national digital system, these forms are consolidated into a unified form that will be sent to all relevant authorities, updating the information easily and efficiently

The State of Israel is gradually becoming more efficient in the digital realm and reducing bureaucracy. Now the good news is for the jobseekers who are entitled to unemployment benefits.

Until now, the unemployed had to face two authorities in Israel. The employment service that takes care of them for occupational diagnosis, workshops, courses and help in finding a job and returning to the employment circle.

At the same time, those who were entitled to unemployment benefits had to stand in front of the National Insurance Institute and sign several documents declaring their dismissal and their eligibility to receive unemployment benefits for the period in which they are looking for work from which they will live for the time being.

Dealing with two entities has created complication and confusion for many of those entitled, and now the Employment Authority and National Insurance Institute are announcing the news together with the national digital system.

The good news: submission of a consolidated form to the authorities

Starting today, the forms will be merged into a single form that can be filled out either in the governmental personal area online or at the National Insurance Institute. This form will be updated both at the National Insurance Institute and at the Employment Service, streamlining the process and reducing bureaucracy and confusion between different forms.

After completing the new form, the required information will be immediately sent to both the National Insurance Institute and the Employment Service. The submission date will serve as the registration date with the Employment Service, provided that the unemployed person appears at the Employment Service office within 15 days from the moment of submitting the online form. Additionally, the submission date will also determine the start date of eligibility for unemployment benefits from the National Insurance Institute.

From the Deputy CEO of the National Insurance Institute, Yarona Shalom: "The unified form streamlines the process and significantly reduces bureaucracy for citizens. This is another step we've taken towards improving service efficiency, streamlining processes, and facilitating rights in the most convenient, digital, and beneficial manner."

CEO of the Employment Service, Rami Graor: "This is truly a significant announcement that will put an end to confusion and delays; no more duplicate registration, no more rights delays. All jobseekers will be able to exercise their entitlement to the security network that will enable them to smoothly return to the workforce. Not only will the unified form simplify the registration process, but it will also allow jobseekers to dedicate their full time and energy to their return-to-work efforts instead of dealing with bureaucracy."

CEO of the National Digital System, Shira Lev-Ami: "The National Digital System operates around the clock to streamline bureaucratic processes and make it easier for citizens to perform actions with simplicity and minimal effort. The unified digital form is a lifeline for people from all sectors and socioeconomic situations. The employment crisis is challenging enough for residents. The state must make every effort to alleviate it."
