Members of Knesset Respond to Yesterday's Terrorism

Michaeli demands: "Outlaw his party"

A blatant attack by former minister Merav Michaeli against MK Limor Son Har Melech and the Otzma Yehudit party following the serious incident in Binyamin: "fully supports terrorists"

The chairman of the Labor party, Merav Michaeli, strongly opposes the Otzma Yehudit party and claims that if it was an Arab MK, the attitude would have been different.

"MK Limor Son Har Melech (the Jewish Power party) supports terrorists to the fullest. If an Arab MK had done what she did yesterday, after the attack carried out by a settler close to her, an immediate investigation would have been opened against him, with demands to outlaw his party for supporting terrorism."

The background to these statements is the severe incident that occurred during the Sabbath in the Binyamin area, where a Jewish resident of the region was severely injured in clashes with Palestinians, and in response, one of the Palestinian rioters was shot dead.

"Start by deporting the settler's family"

Yesterday (Saturday), MK Limor Son Har Melech, the Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) party, published a response in which she pointed out the different treatment between the bravery of the Urban Patrol Unit member in Tel Aviv who was killed in a terrorist attack and what happened on Saturday: "The law in Tel Aviv is different from the law in Binyamin! When a security officer in Tel Aviv eliminates a terrorist, he receives accolades from all security forces. But when a Jew defends his life in Binyamin against a group of Arabs out to kill him, he is arrested while still wounded," Son Har Melech tweeted on Twitter.

"I suggest that the security system direct its forces to take care of the sources of terrorism instead of persecuting the residents of Binyamin who hold on to our country with devotion!".

In response, Minister Merav Michaeli tweeted: "The time has come to say it loud and clear: in Netanyahu's government, there is a party of supporters of terrorists. Supporters of terror. If we want to deport families of terrorists – we can start with the families of the settler terrorists."
