A new date has been scheduled: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will go on a diplomatic visit to Cyprus on September 3rd, as announced today (Thursday) in the Prime Minister's office. This comes after the planned visit was postponed two weeks ago due to Netanyahu's hospitalization for the transplant of a pacemaker.

As previously mentioned, Netanyahu's visit to Cyprus was supposed to take place on July 25th and last for two days, followed by his planned trip to Turkey, where he was scheduled to meet with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the first time. However, two days before the visit, Netanyahu was hospitalized at Sheba Medical Center, Tel HaShomer, and his office stated that "after the medical procedure Netanyahu underwent, he needs several weeks of follow-up, and therefore the diplomatic visits will be postponed."

In the Prime Minister's office, it was stated that a new date for the visit to Turkey has not yet been scheduled, and at this stage, Netanyahu will only travel to Cyprus. During his visit, Netanyahu is expected to meet with the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, as well as the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
