Another victim of the wave of crime in the Arab society: Leit Arbid, an 18-year-old from Kafr Qara, was shot dead last night (Tuesday) in a criminal shooting incident. Two other individuals, aged 24 and 26, were also injured in the incident, one in serious condition and the other in light condition, and were taken for further medical treatment to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center.

From the police, it was reported that "Menashe Regional officers initiated searches for the perpetrators, alongside evidence collection at the scene by the Forensics Unit as part of an opened investigation."

Simultaneously, another shooting incident was reported in Shefaram, where a 43-year-old man was injured by gunfire at a grocery store and was evacuated in critical condition to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. The police have launched an investigation and stated that the background to the incident is "a prolonged dispute between criminals." The hospital reported that the injured individual "was taken for surgery in critical condition, while police forces increased security at the hospital due to emotional turmoil among family members and friends."

The number of murder victims in the Arab sector has reached 137 people since the beginning of the year, including 28 in the last month alone. This is a figure that is twice as high compared to the same period in 2022, during which there were 66 fatalities. Among the victims, 74 were under the age of 30, and 123 of them were shot to death.
