At least 4 people were killed in a Russian attack in the city of Kryvyi Rih in southern Ukraine, including a 10-year-old girl and her 45-year-old mother. President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attack on his hometown, stating, "This terrorism will not scare us and will not break us"

The war in Ukraine continues: At least 4 people were killed and 43 others injured today (Monday) after Russian forces attacked the city of Kryvyi Rih in southern Ukraine. This city is where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was born and raised, and he strongly responded to the ballistic missile strikes on the area.

According to the local authorities' statement, among the four fatalities in the attack are a 10-year-old girl and her 45-year-old mother. However, the authorities warned that the death toll may still rise, as hundreds of rescue personnel are still in the affected area, currently searching for the missing individuals.

In the video that Zelensky posted on social media, a large hole can be seen on the side of a residential building, with thick smoke billowing from inside. The debris of another building, which collapsed from a rocket strike, is also visible. "Residential buildings, universities, and key junctions were hit," said the Ukrainian President. "Unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries. I send my condolences to all those who lost their loved ones due to the Russian terrorism – but I want to make it clear that this terrorism will not scare us or break us."

In parallel to this, there have been reports of Russian attacks in other areas, as at least two strikes were reported in the city of Kherson. According to the city authorities, a 60-year-old man was killed, and four other people were injured as a result of a rocket hitting a local power company facility. Another 65-year-old man was seriously injured when his car was hit by a rocket during his drive.

The Russian attack comes a day after an extraordinary airstrike that occurred yesterday in Moscow, leading to the temporary suspension of the international airport in the city. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that one cruise missile was intercepted, but two others crashed in the capital city. It was also reported that two people were injured in the attack, and damage was caused to several office buildings in the city center.
