Paris fans put up a banner stating "For the Liberation of Palestine." Fans of the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) soccer team are known for their anti-Israel attitudes, but tonight they took it a step further.

Among the many paintings on the banner were the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Palestinian flag, a child covered with the Lebanese flag and a map of the Land of Israel wrapped in a keffiyah.

This is an unprecedented protest even for fans of the City of Lights team, who often supported the Palestinians even before the October 7 massacre.

The Champions League has yet to comment on the incident, but European officials are calling on UEFA to look into the issue and implement a clear policy on bringing politics into the stands, at least on paper.

It is important to note that UEFA prohibits the transmission of political messages during matches, but similar incidents are usually not enforced, and Celtic fans are also allowed to fly Palestinian and Lebanese flags at every home game.
