A survey conducted by a department within the Iranian Ministry of Culture reveals that 90% of Iranians feel dissatisfied with the country and its directions due to a weak economy, according to a report today (Sunday) by Iran International.

The poll, which focused on those aged 51 and above, also found that about one-third believe "the country’s situation is beyond repair."

When it comes to the issues that bother those polled most, these figured most prominently: inflation and high prices (81.9%), unemployment (47.9%), addiction (26.9%), corruption (13.1%), housing shortages (12.1%), and the issue of the hijab (11.9%).

Meanwhile, nurses continue to strike throughout the Islamic Republic for better wages and working conditions, while some farmers are protesting the lack of fuel for their machines.
