A Paris court arrested and charged a couple with planning the assassination of Israelis and Jews in Germany and France with the support of Iran, which is interested in increasing terrorism in Europe, according to AFP.

Sources in the French Police told the agency that Abed al-Qarim, 34, and his partner Sabrina, 33, were arrested on May 4 and charged with conspiring with a terrorist organization.

The two are now in pre-trial detention as part of an investigation called "Marco Polo," a case which stresses the renewed use of terror tactics on European soil by the Iranian government.
