Chilling sign of the times: "Jews forced to meet in secret at DNC" says Holocaust survivor Foxman"

"After decades of fighting antisemitism, I never imagined this would happen in America," Foxman laments.

Holocaust survivor and former Anti-Defamation League (ADL) national director Abraham Foxman voiced deep concern on Wednesday over the worsening situation for Jews in the US, highlighting that they now have to meet in secret at events like the Democratic National Convention (DNC).

Foxman’s alarm was sparked by an Agudath Israel of America event at the DNC, focused on rising antisemitism against Orthodox Jews, which was disrupted by anti-Israel activists.

"Brick by brick, wall by wall, Zionism will fall," the activists chanted, according to a video released by Agudath Israel. Foxman, who survived the Holocaust by being hidden and raised by his Catholic Polish nanny, expressed his distress on X, stating, "I know in my heart that in the future, it will be better for Jews in America than it is today. But I fear it will never be the same. After 50 years of fighting antisemitism in America, I could not have imagined a time when Jews would have to meet in secret locations in Chicago at the DNC."

The ADL clarified that the disrupted event was not about Zionism, emphasizing that Agudath Israel had been targeted simply for being "visibly Jewish."
