The Maritime Trade Center of Great Britain updated today (Wednesday) on an attack on a commercial ship in the Red Sea, when according to them the ship "lost control" after being attacked several times.

According to the announcement of the British Center, the incident took place at around 10:40 am local time, near the shores of al-Hudayeh in Yemen. From a preliminary examination it emerged that two small vessels arrived at the merchant ship, when an exchange of fire developed for a short time. About an hour later, it was claimed that the ship was hit by three missiles, and lost control. At this point, no deaths or injuries have been reported in the incident.

Apparently, the current attack was carried out by the Houthis in Yemen, who are now returning to attack ships in the Red Sea after about a week of silence. This is the second time today that an attack has been reported near Yemen, after a week of silence in the region - with the last attack before that occurring on August 15.
