Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced today (Wednesday) on X that Ukrainian forces have advanced another 1-2 kilometers into Russian territory in the Kursk region.

Russian officials deny this claim and say they have repelled such efforts to advance, but the head of the Belgorod region has nevertheless declared a "state of emergency" due to the "extremely difficult" situation created by the Ukrainian incursion, according to France 24.
