Last week, a Nazi ship loaded with explosives was pulled from the bottom of the Danube River near the town of Prahovo in Serbia after 80 years of being buried.

This is a German ship that was sunk in 1944 and is the first of about 200 ships that were sunk in the same area, as reported on the "Mirror" website.

The ship was sunk on the orders of Admiral Paul-Willi Zeib, as part of an overall order to sink the warships and cargo ships of the German Navy, with the aim of preventing their capture by the advancing Soviet army. According to the reports, about 8,000 German soldiers and civilians who were on board the ship escaped on foot before the ship sank.

For many decades, the remains of these ships hindered the movement of boats in the river, which is used daily by hundreds of vessels for trade, transportation and tourism.
