The US Ambassador to Japan, as well as representatives of France and Britain, cancelled their participation in the Nagasaki Peace Ceremony commemorating the dropping of the atomic bomb on the city in protest against the city's decision to not invite the Israeli representative, according to Israel Hayom.
Nagasaki Mayor Shiro Suzuki justified his decision on the grounds of possible protests or danger to attendees.
Israel is attending the parallel ceremony in Hiroshima, however.
