Kamala Harris claims $200 million raised in just one week

The campaign of the Vice President and presumptive Democratic nominee also claims that 66% of the money comes from first-time donors.

After taking over from President Biden as the presumptive Democratic nominee last week, the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris claims to have raised $200 million within a week. In addition, the campaign claims 66% of the money comes from first-time donors.

By contrast, according to the New York Post, President Biden’s team took in  $63.8 million in the entire month of June, and Donald Trump’s camp netted  $21.5 million last month, according to federal records.

Meanwhile, polls taken after President Biden ended his reelection campaign point to a tight race, with former President and Republican nominee Donald Trump maintaining a consistent, if slight edge.
