BBC’s biased reporting: Palestinians - "killed", Druze children - "died"

Foreign media’s wording on the Majdal Shams rocket strike has sparked intense criticism.

The global media reported on the tragic massacre in Majdal Shams yesterday (Saturday), but some outlets are facing significant criticism for their coverage. The BBC, in particular, has come under fire for a headline that read, "Ten dead in rocket attack on occupied Golan Heights."

While the article eventually noted that Hezbollah was behind the attack, it labeled this information as an "Israeli claim," with Hezbollah denying the allegations. The BBC has previously faced criticism for unverified reports, such as claims of Israeli bombings of a Gaza hospital.

In its coverage of the Gaza Strip, the BBC initially used the term "killed" instead of "died," before updating the headline to read "Rocket fire kills ten."

Similarly, CNN faced criticism for its initial headline "At least 10 dead," which was later revised to "killed." Both networks have faced scrutiny over their choice of language in reporting on the ongoing conflict.
