Veteran actor Jon Voight has publicly criticized his daughter, Angelina Jolie, calling her “ignorant” and “naive” for her support of Palestine and the United Nations.
In a passionate interview with Variety published on Tuesday, Voight, 85, accused Jolie, 49, of being out of touch with reality and living in a “bubble.” He claimed that her views on the Israel-Hamas war have been influenced by “antisemitic people” and blasted the UN’s stance on Palestinian refugees as biased and antisemitic.
Voight, who is a vocal supporter of former President Trump, described the UN’s approach to human rights as merely “anti-Israel bashing.” Jolie, a former special envoy of the UN High Commission for Refugees, has been critical of Israel’s actions in the wake of the October 7 attacks by Hamas
Voight expressed frustration, saying, “She has been influenced by the UN. From the beginning, it’s been awful with human rights. They call it human rights, but it’s just anti-Israel bashing.”
