Despite intense pressure and calls from Republican senators for her resignation, Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle remains committed to leading the investigation into the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.

ABC News sources reveal that Cheatle, who faced direct challenges from GOP senators at the RNC, is determined to maintain her role and oversee security operations for the convention.

Kimberly Cheatle has passionately championed woke initiatives since assuming her role at the Secret Service, including outreach at Pride events, pronoun use seminars, and collaborating with Michelle Khare to attract a diverse talent pool.

She hosted a seminar on “respectful use of pronouns” at Unity Day, emphasizing education on new topics. Cheatle’s directive for the agency includes a strong focus on DEIA, with a call for every employee to embody these values daily. Her commitment to diversity also includes a goal of making women 30% of new recruits by 2030.
