In his address at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee last night (Thursday), Donald Trump stated that the attack on Israel on October 7 would not have occurred if he were president.

Trump demanded the return of hostages before he takes office, warning of severe consequences. It’s uncertain whether he referred to American-Israeli hostages or all Israeli captives, though his remarks at the convention focused on American hostages.

Donald Trump formally accepted his third GOP nomination for president at the Republican National Convention.

Earlier, Trump recounted narrowly escaping an assassination attempt, attributing his survival to "the grace of Almighty God."

As Donald Trump declared to the Republican National Convention crowd that he was "not supposed to be here," the audience responded with chants of "Yes you are!" Amid images of a bloodied Trump displayed on screens, he praised the Secret Service agents who protected him and paid tribute to fallen volunteer firefighter Corey Comperatore, kissing his fire helmet in a poignant gesture.
