Following an uproar over his statement that the Arab League no longer views Hezbollah as a "terrorist" group, especially from Saudi Arabia, Arab League assistant secretary-general Hossam Zaki partially walked back his remarks, according to Naharnet.
Specifically, Zaki said that Hezbollah no longer being considered a terrorist group "does not mean that the many reservations and objections over Hezbollah’s behavior, policies, actions and stances have ceased to exist, not only domestically but also regionally."
The Gulf countries led by Saudi Arabia led the protest against Zaki's previous remarks regarding Hezbollah not being listed as a terrorist organization by the Arab League.
