Iranian news agency Tasnim reported that earlier in the day, Iranian President Raisi and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian were involved in a helicopter crash during a flight in eastern Azerbaijan.

According to the report, the accident occurred while a convoy of three helicopters was making its way from Tehran to Baku. At some point, the helicopter had to make an emergency landing. Raisi's companions contacted the control center and reported the accident, and rescue forces were called to the scene.
