The American actor Mark Ruffallo attacked Israel in a post that received a "like" from singer Ariana Grande.

The post he shared today (Sunday) with his 20 million followers reads: "The Israeli army's attack on Rafah puts 1.3 million Palestinians, including 600,000 children, in catastrophic danger. We need a permanent ceasefire now - not a break or a temporary ceasefire. The killing must stop!"

"There is nothing that justifies the killing of children in Gaza or anywhere. President Biden and our elected leaders must act now to save lives and move us toward a future rooted in freedom, justice, dignity and peace for all people."

The post, which was also shared by antisemitic supermodel Bella Hadid, has received wide resonance in recent hours and garnered hundreds of thousands of likes. The fact that Grande - one of the most influential singers in the world with millions of followers and close monitoring of her every public move - chose to like and express public support for the harsh post is unusual, and indicates a change in trend towards Israel.
