Iran: "Irrelevant how many missiles got through"

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei addressed the Revolutionary Guard and thanked them for the attack against Israel - but claimed that "the most important thing is to prove the will of the people."

Iran's ruler Ali Khamenei spoke today (Sunday) to members of the Revolutionary Guards. He referred to the Iranian strike against Israel that was carried out last week and thanked the soldiers. Khamenei also claimed that the purpose of the attack was to "demonstrate our power" - and that the extent of the damage caused to Israel was less of a factor.

"Our forces presented a good image of our capabilities to the world, and presented the willpower of the people in the international arena," Khamenei said. According to him, "the number of missiles that were fired or hit their targets is a secondary matter. The most important thing is that we carried out the will of the people."

He also called on the Revolutionary Guards fighters to: "work non-stop to develop the army and learn the tactics of the enemy. Every event has costs and profits, and the important thing is to reduce the costs and increase the profits wisely." "This is what the forces have done in recent developments," he stated.
