The UAE Defense Minister announced on X/Twitter today (Thursday) that it was joining the effort to airdrop aid into Gaza to help the civilian population during the war, according to the UAE in Hebrew Twitter account.
Per the announcement, this operation is called "good birds" and involves the Emirati Air Force. The aid is aimed at the population of the northern Gaza Strip, and according to the UAE 3 planes have already dropped 36 tons of goods in the area.
A number of countries are already coordinating with Israel and the IDF to airdrop supplies into the Gaza Strip, including Egypt, Jordan, France, and the United States.
The IDF reported earlier today that some of the airdropped aid accidentally landed in Israeli territory, and that there was no fear of a security incident.
