The fighting against the Houthi rebels and their damage to world trade has picked up speed in the Red Sea, after at least two missile and drone attacks were carried out against ships sailing through the strait.

One ship sailing under the Marshall Islands flag suffered minor damage from a drone strike on its deck, while another ship sailing under the flag of Belize was completely abandoned after being hit by a missile barrage.

In response, the British-American coalition securing the canal and the Bab al-Mandab strait in the region, carried out several attacks on Yemeni territory. According to local reports, at least two attacks were carried out, one in the Hodeida area and one in Aden.
