British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak released a video on his official X/Twitter account today, stating that the British government would be enacting a series of measures to combat violence and intimidation at pro-Palestinian protests in Britain.

Sunak said that while the protests have been largely peaceful, there have been "far too many examples of antisemitism, violent intimidation, and the glorification of terrorism."

Sunak said that "this must not stand," and that the British government would be setting out measures to ban the use of fireworks and flares which intimidate and injure, prevent people climbing Britain's sacred war memorials, and banning the ability to cover one's face and avoid arrest: "Those who abuse their freedom to protest undermine public safety and our democratic values."
