In a statement issued today (Sunday), President Joe Biden expressed his condolences to the US Army soldiers killed in a drone attack in northeastern Jordan, assigning blame to "radical Iran-backed militant groups operating in Syria and Iraq."

After expressing his support for their effort and sacrifice, Biden then said that "have no doubt — we will hold all those responsible to account at a time and in a manner our choosing."

Kann 11 News reporter Roi Kais reported on X/Twitter that the Jordanian government clarified that the attack was not launched from Jordanian soil.
