About a month after she appeared in the American Congress together with the heads of other universities, during which they refused to say that the call for genocide against Jews violates the rules of conduct in the educational institutions, and after weeks of accusations of copying academic materials in articles she published as a doctoral student, the president of Harvard is expected to resign from her position.

The president of the elite Harvard University, Claudine Gay, has been in the headlines for several weeks. Gay took part in a congressional hearing that went viral, during which the heads of the universities refused to agree that "calling for the murder of Jews violates the rules of conduct" in the institutions they lead, as a result of that hearing the president of the University of Pennsylvania also resigned from her position.

But the turmoil surrounding Gay had only just begun, just days after her disturbing appearance at the congressional hearing, a series of academic watchdogs revealed claims that Gay plagiarized large parts of the academic papers that promoted her academic career, and even formed the basis of her doctorate, with the claims backed up by citations from an academic document from which entire paragraphs were copied into Gay's articles.

In addition, Gay caused heavy losses to Harvard University when many donors pulled their significant contributions to the university in response to the president's outrageous remarks at the congressional hearing. According to calculations made by American newspapers, Gay has so far cost Harvard close to a billion dollars in donations.

Now sources close to the president of Harvard are reporting that she is expected to announce her resignation from the position soon, despite significant pressure from sources such as former President Barack Obama who are working to keep Gay in her position.
