Jews around the world have felt the brunt of antisemitism since the Hamas massacre of October 7 and Israel's war in Gaza, including a massive spike in assault, vandalism, and threatening actions in the United States, according to the ADL.
These numbers include 40 physical assaults, 337 cases of vandalism, and 749 cases of verbal or written harassment. Antisemitism on campuses is also particularly bad, with 400 recorded incidents, compared to just 33 during the same period last year.
ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt said that "the lid to the sewers is off, and Jewish communities all across the country are being inundated with hate. Public officials and college leaders must turn down the temperature and take clear action to show this behavior is unacceptable to prevent more violence."
