A riot was recorded last night (Monday) at the Parliament hearing in Albania, when the opposition members rioted in the plenary after they claimed that the Speaker of the Parliament Lindita Nikolla refused to allow the establishment of the committees.
In the documentation from the event, members of parliament were seen throwing chairs, blocking Nikolla's path and lighting flares. At a certain point, one of the members of parliament began to put cloths under the legislators' chairs and tried to set them on fire.
The forces of the parliament guard were called to the plenum and worked to gain control of the flames, and after a struggle against the members of the opposition they managed to extinguish the fire. Following the incident, the member of parliament who tried to set fire to the building was removed from the discussion.
