Tomorrow (Tuesday), the US House of Representatives will screen the film which has come to be known as the "film of horrors," a compilation by the IDF Spokesperson of footage and exhibits from the October 7 Massacre committed by Hamas. The screening is being hosted by the House Foreign Affairs Committee in collaboration with the Israeli Embassy and will be held in the morning.
The film has been previously shown to journalists, diplomats, select House members, and the entirety of the Knesset. All screenings have been conducted on conditions of secrecy and a strict ban on recordings, and have included warnings about divulging details and the presence of very graphic images. At least a few Knesset members viewing the film burst out crying or shaking from the experience or requiring anti-anxiety medication.
The screening will be followed by a briefing of Biden administration officials informing Members of Congress on the IDF's war in Gaza, including its efforts to avoid harming civilians when targeting Hamas terrorists.
