Hanan Ben Ari's ex-wife

WATCH: Hanan Ben Ari's ex-wife Hadassa posts devastating footage

The footage provides a raw glimpse into the reality faced by Israeli families during the current conflict. Hanan's ex-wife Hadasa chose to share this vulnerable moment to illustrate the daily challenges families face under rocket threats.

Children Ben Ari, ex-wife of well-known Israeli singer Hanan Ben Ari, documented a terrifying moment as she rushed to gather her seven children to safety during a rocket alert.

Here's what happened:

Hadassa was preparing for a lecture about "our heroes."

The video, accidentally recorded on her phone, captures her urgent calls to gather children from three floors, a child's frightened screams and tears and her attempts to calm her children: "I'm here, everything's okay"

"This is the soundtrack of an average Israeli family this year," Hadassa wrote alongside the video post. "I don't know what they dreamed about tonight, but I'm dreaming for them about the good days that are yet to come."

She ended her post with a sobering note of dark humor: "Note to self: Always keep a knife near a teenager's room so you can break down the door and get them out when missiles are chasing you."
