Multiple rockets hit the coastal city around noon, triggering air raid sirens and sending residents rushing to shelters.
A man in his 30s was sheltering in a playground in Nahariya when he was killed by a Hezbollah rocket during the noon barrage.
Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency services immediately dispatched teams across several impact sites.
"The playground was completely destroyed," reported MDA medic Dor Vaknin. "We found a man lying unconscious with severe shrapnel wounds. Despite our immediate response, his injuries proved fatal."
In addition, two women, ages 40 and 44, suffered light injuries from blast impact and flying glass, while six civilians were treated for shock.
Emergency services remain on high alert as residents are urged to stay near protected spaces.
