Possible To Be Both Optimistic and Pessimistic

So, how badly has Hezbollah been hurt so far? IDF has some answers

After a year of war and weeks of ground offensives, the Lebanese terrorist organization is showing a lot of wear and tear.

The IDF is currently operating with three divisions maneuvering throughout southern Lebanon in both the east and west, including in areas 5-6 km from the border where they haven't reached yet, according to Army Radio.

The villages and areas being attacked contain large arms caches which threaten the north, including anti-tank missiles and launchers, mortars, and rocket launchers.

While clarifying that the IDF is unlikely to reach all Hezbollah weapons "down to the last mortar," they are aiming to degrade the Hezbollah threat to the northern border.

Regarding the rocket threat, the IDF said that the number of rockets being launched from the north has declined from a rate of 150 a day to 100 and that more than 60% of launches are from single tube or triple-tube launchers rather than the truly multi-tube launchers Hezbollah used in the past.

The IDF said that due to army activity, Hezbollah is having increasing difficulty in pulling off truly large, coordinated salvos against Israel.
