The Israel Police and the Shin Bet have wrapped up their investigation into a brutal terror attack in Tel Aviv that left seven people dead on the evening of October 1.

On Wednesday, an indictment was filed against Ahmad Himoni, a 25-year-old from Hebron, who carried out the attack alongside 19-year-old Mahmad Masaq, who was killed at the scene.

The attack began when the terrorists boarded a light rail car, using an M-16 rifle to open fire on passengers. After this initial assault, they continued their attack on foot along Jerusalem Boulevard in Jaffa, indiscriminately shooting at passersby. Alongside the seven fatalities, the attack left 16 others injured.

Following the shooting spree, Himoni and Masaq were confronted by Tel Aviv-Jaffa patrol officers and armed civilians who managed to neutralize them.

In addition to Himoni, indictments have been filed against three individuals who provided assistance to the attackers. Prosecutors are expected to charge Himoni with multiple counts of terrorism and murder in the coming days.

The attack claimed the lives of Shahar Goldman, Revital Bronstein, Nadia Sokalenko, Ilya Nozadze, Inbar Segev Vigder, Victor Shimshon Green, and Ionas Karussis, whose families now await justice as the prosecution moves forward.
