Lebanese sources familiar with the matter told Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese outlet al-Akhbar that there would not even be negotiation over a ceasefire until the IDF immediately and unconditionally stopped all attacks and withdrew from all of Lebanon.
The sources said that these and other terms were agreed upon in consultation between Lebanese Parliamentary Speaker Nabih Berri, Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and the Hezbollah leadership.
While demanding an unconditional and unilateral withdrawal from Lebanon and the return of south Lebanese residents to their homes "within hours" before even discussing implementing UN Resolution 1701, the terms also demand no outside involvement in the rebuilding of destroyed towns and villages in south Lebanon.
