Operation "Northern Swords": Air Force fighter jets attacked earlier today (Wednesday), under the guidance of the Intelligence Division, the crossing points of the Syrian regime on the Syria-Lebanon border. According to the IDF spokesperson, the routes were used for transferring weapons to the terrorist organization Hezbollah.
The current strike is the latest in a series of numerous attacks carried out by the IDF in recent months to reduce the transfer of weaponry from Iran through Syria to Hezbollah in Lebanon. The IDF stated that "the attack on the routes constitutes an additional blow to the capabilities of Unit 4400, the unit responsible for transferring weapons from Iran through Syria to Lebanon, to transfer weapons used for carrying out terrorist activities against IDF forces and the Israeli home front."
The IDF spokesperson stated that "Hezbollah, with the support of the Syrian regime, uses civilian infrastructure to assist in carrying out terrorist activities. The IDF will continue to act to prevent the terrorist organization Hezbollah from arming itself with weapons that endanger the citizens of the State of Israel."
