The Nahariya Municipality is publishing the names of the two victims who were killed as a result of a direct rocket strike on a workshop in the city.

And thus it was reported in the announcement: "A difficult and painful evening in Nahariya." A short while ago, the names of two residents of the city who were killed this afternoon in the rocket barrage fired at the city were released for publication:

Ziv Balper, 52, and Shimon Najem, 54.

The two were pronounced dead at the scene, near a warehouse that was directly hit by a rocket from Lebanon.

On behalf of the mayor, city council members, and all the residents of the city, we extend our sincere condolences to the families. We will continue to accompany and support them during this difficult time.

Details about the funeral dates have not yet been provided. May their memory be blessed.

Earlier, alarms were activated throughout the city of Nahariya and in many other areas across the country. MDA paramedics arrived at the scene following the fall in the workshop.

MDA paramedic Dor Vaknin said: "This is a warehouse that was hit by a rocket." We arrived quickly at the location, where there was extensive destruction and an active fire. We performed medical examinations on two men who were lying unconscious and suffering from severe injuries to their bodies. Unfortunately, their injuries were too severe, and after the examinations, we had to pronounce both of them dead.

The IDF spokesperson stated in response to the alerts activated in northern Israel, that approximately 10 launches were identified crossing from Lebanon, some were intercepted, some fell in open areas, and impacts were identified.

The medical teams of United Hatzalah reported two critically injured individuals as a result of a direct hit.

Noam Lifshitz, a medic and ambulance driver for United Hatzalah, reported: Unfortunately, two victims (in their forties) were killed on the spot as a result of the direct impact on the industrial building. Additionally, two anxiety victims – a man and a woman – were treated by the Resilience Unit of United Hatzalah.
