An Impressive Feat, For Sure

The Jebaliyah operation so far: the numbers

The IDF expects the entire area to be entirely secured within the next 48 hours. A complete clearing of the area of terrorists will take months more.

Over a month since the IDF began an operation to clear Jebaliyah of Hamas and other terrorists, the army has now presented its achievements in numbers: over 1,000 terrorists eliminated, and over 1,000 surrendered and captured, according to N12 News.

The operation was launched by the 162nd Division after fighting for five months in Rafah, with an initial maneuver by two brigades - the 401st and the 460th - from a direction which Hamas forces did not expect.

The IDF said that it expects to have operational control of the area within 48 hours, and that the forces will stay there once this is achieved, with the aim of completely clearing out terrorists and cutting off Hamas' Gaza Brigade from Gaza City proper.

Fighting continues in Rafah, meanwhile, with IDF forces seeking out and eliminating terrorists and destroying terrorist infrastructure, including with drone fire.
