Three people were injured by Hezbollah rockets: a 27-year-old woman in moderate condition, a 35-year-old man and a 1-year-old toddler, both of whom are in light condition. In addition, MDA teams are treating several people suffering from acute anxiety at the scene.

Northern Israel is under heavy rocket fire as, dozens of rockets from Lebanon are targeting Israeli civilian areas, with sirens blaring across the north.

Communities under fire include:

Karmiel and Sakhnin regions facing heaviest barrage
Entire Misgav regional council under attack
Border communities given just 15 seconds to reach shelter
Upper Galilee residents have 30 seconds to find safety

"It's an intense barrage," says local official. "Multiple launches targeting civilian areas across the region."

This dramatic escalation is happening at the same time as growing tensions with Iran and also concerns about possible Iranian action before Trump takes office in January.

Residents in northern Israel instructed to remain near shelters as situation continues to develop.

12:03 - Major strike reported near Homs, Syria

Arab media reports a significant Israeli strike on truck convoy near Homs, Syria, in what appears to be coordinated action across multiple fronts.

According to Roi Kais, Sham FM, a radio station affiliated with Assad's regime, has also reported the Israeli airstrike in southern Homs, central Syria.

The attack in Syria has reportedly caused casualties, though details remain unclear.

12:10 - Barrage expands across northern Israel

UPDATE: Almog Boker reported that one building was hit during the heavy rocket barrage on northern Israel. In addiiton, a woman in her 40s has been wounded by shrapnel as approximately 50 rockets targeted the Karmiel and Sakhnin regions.

The woman's condition has now been classified as moderate. Two other people were also lightly wounded in today's rocket barrage, including a one-year-old baby.

MDA provided this update:

MDA paramedics and EMTs have transferred the injured people to the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya - a 27-year-old woman in moderate condition, a man around 35 years old, and a 1-year-old toddler in light condition. In addition, MDA teams are treating several people suffering from acute anxiety at the scene.

Meanwhile, the IDF Arabic spokesperson has called on residents of 21 additional Lebanese villages to evacuate their homes immediately.
