Confirmed: The IDF expands the humanitarian area in Gaza

Following US pressure, the IDF is expanding the humanitarian area, which includes hospitals, tent complexes, and the equipment and supplies of food, water, and medicine that have been brought into the Gaza Strip.

In light of the U.S. government's demand to increase humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip, the IDF announced this morning (Monday) the expansion of the humanitarian area in the Strip.

The expanded humanitarian area includes field hospitals established since the outbreak of the war, tent complexes, shelter equipment, and supplies of food, water, medicine, and medical equipment that have been coordinated with the international community through the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT).

In the IDF, they reiterate that they will continue to act to achieve the war's objectives, including dismantling Hamas and returning all the hostages.

As a reminder, in recent weeks, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin sent a letter to Ministers Dermer and Gallant stating that if Israel does not resolve the humanitarian crisis within a month, an arms embargo will be imposed on Israel.
