Yael Eshl and Yuval Marciano, the sisters of the observation officers who fell at the Nahal Oz outpost, Roni Eshl and Noa Marciano, enlisted today (Monday) in the IDF as infantry instructors. According to Sharon, Yael and Roni Eshl's mother, "For a year, I've been trying to convince her not to enlist, but I haven't succeeded. I'm proud of her."

Sharon Eshl protested the lack of enlistment of Haredim in the war, and said: "Yael enlisted because what we have at home are principled children who understand the need to serve the country. I can't understand the audacity of an entire sector that doesn't enlist during such a time."

She also said that Yael and Yuval's choice is "to continue the path of their sisters." According to her, "They carry them in their hearts, bodies, and souls. Yael idolized Roni, her older sister." She was proud of her. I know Roni would have been proud of her today.

Even Avi Marciano, the father of Noa and Yuval, said: "Yuval's upbringing is largely thanks to Noa. She instilled many things in her. The fact that we see her insisting on doing meaningful service now is largely thanks to Noa."

He continued and added: "One of the biggest disappointments I had with the army was that for three days, no one from Noa's command level contacted us. Today, there's no way I'm not managing without the phone number of every commander of my daughter."

On this, Sharon Eshl added and promised: "It won't happen again. We are with our hands on our pulse and today we can say who we want. If a single hair falls from their head - we're in a different event. We are not the same parents we were during the previous enlistment."

Earlier, Marciano wrote on Facebook: "A year after we parted ways with Noa, I have another soldier daughter, Yuval. And here she is, about to put on her uniform and become the best infantry instructor in the IDF. In my heart, a whirlwind of emotions, confusion, and fear. I can't believe I'm enlisting another girl into the army again, even though there's no real investigation to explain to me how I don't have Noa, the girl I enlisted a year and a half ago. And there is still no state inquiry committee. And everyone responsible for the massacre and the abduction, hers and her friends', is still in their position. I want to trust. But on whom? Why? Who is taking care of my daughter now?"

Roni Eshl fell in the command center at the Nahal Oz base on October 7th. Noa Marciano, who also served as an observer at the Nahal Oz base, was kidnapped to the Gaza Strip. Later, Hamas released a video of her in captivity. After the video was published, the IDF announced that she was not alive and that her body was found near the Shifa Hospital in Gaza. In May, the IDF announced the elimination of the terrorist Naim Gol, a military operative in the Hamas terrorist organization in the Shati Brigade in the Gaza Strip, who was responsible for holding and murdering Marciano.
