The head of the National Security Council, Tzachi Hanegbi, was questioned earlier this week at his home after being suspected of receiving 10,000 shekels in exchange for a recommendation letter for a contractor.

A third investigation in the Prime Minister's Office, National Security Council head Tzachi Hanegbi, appointed by the Prime Minister to the position, was questioned this week at his home by the Israel Police, following suspicions that he received bribes. According to the allegations, the head of the National Security Council received 10,000 shekels in exchange for a recommendation letter for a businessman as part of a criminal bribery deal.

On behalf of the head of the National Security Council, Hanegbi responded to the accusations and explained that: "This is a claim that was raised within the framework of a civil dispute between businessmen and was published two years ago." The head of the National Security Council already denied these claims immediately upon their publication and provided this version to the police as well.

The Prime Minister's Office also responded to the announcement about the criminal investigation, stating: "This is an investigation unrelated to the Prime Minister's Office and the National Security Headquarters, concerning the publication of an event from seven years ago."
