Some 30 Hezbollah villages and about 40,000 housing units have been demolished as a result of IDF operations along the northern border, according to Lebanese government sources quoted by N12 News.

IDF operations have from the start been focused on meticulously discovering and destroying any and all weapons caches, tunnels, and military structures for use by Hezbollah in villages along the border.

According to multiple videos and accounts by IDF commanders and soldiers, literally every home in these villages was turned into a military site of some kind - whether for concealing weapons or serving as an observation post or other such purposes.

The IDF plans to continue its offensive to the "second line" of Hezbollah-held villages in southern Lebanon in the event that a ceasefire is not reached between the two sides.
