A Shocking Injustice

"God will repay them according to the wickedness of their deeds": Rabbi Mazuz laments Iranian Jew's execution

Rabbi Meir Mazouz lamented the execution of an Iranian Jew on the charge of murder for defending himself against a Muslim, saying that God would exact vengeance upon those responsible.

Rabbi Meir Mazuz, head of the Kisei Rachamim yeshivah, condemned the execution of Arvin Nathaniel Ghahremani today (Monday) on charges of murdering a Muslim during a confrontation years before.

Rammi Mazuz said that "God will repay them according to their actions and per the wickedness of their deeds. They keep executing, and no-one can help. May God be rid of them!...'For He shall avenge the blood of His servants.'"

The United States and other countries made a number of efforts to save Ghahremani's life, according to Kann reporter Roi Kais, and the victim's father was willing to accept a large sum of money in lieu of an execution. However, the mother was not, and so Iran executed Ghahremani.

The Islamic Republic of Iran has executed dozens of people since the year began, and human rights organizations have tried to sound the alarm at this trend, with little success.
