According to Israel Hayom, the IDF is considering forming new antitank units by utilizing the weapons confiscated from the clashes with Hezbollah.
In Lebanon, amidst the fighting, the IDF seized a significant number of weapons, such as tens of thousands of Kornet and Almas antitank missiles, akin to Israel's "Gill" missiles made by Rafael.
The new units will be dedicated to long-distance antitank missile operations.
Reports stated that after retrieving weapons from Hezbollah's Radwan Force territory, IDF considered destroying some due to the high volume, ultimately choosing to transport a significant portion to Israel.
Throughout the operation, multiple villages in Lebanon, such as Kfarkela, saw the extraction of numerous trucks loaded with weapons in order to diminish the Radwan Force's power.
Besides the Almas missiles, the IDF also seized a considerable amount of Kornet missiles - the kind that had been launched at northern Israeli communities in the previous year. These missiles, manufactured in Russia and enhanced by Iran, have a maximum range of 12 kilometers.
