The Saudi international relations researcher, Mario Abu Zaid, addresses reports of an Iranian attack on Israel in the coming days and estimates that Iran will not do so soon.
According to a report on the 'Maariv' website, in an interview with the Saudi Al Hadath channel, Abu Zaid explained that the upcoming U.S. presidential elections on Tuesday will prevent Iran from attacking Israel.
Abu Zaid claims that after Iran's previous attack, the U.S. managed to somewhat restrain Israel's response, but now, while America is occupied with a fateful election, the Pentagon will have no time to deal with it. Additionally, in Iran, they understand that an attack of theirs could grant Donald Trump victory in the elections, which is strongly against Iran's wishes.
Abu Daiz concluded by saying, "Before these elections, Iran currently has no interest in responding to Israel in a serious manner that could serve Trump's campaign, who is the candidate that Iran actually fears will return to the White House."
