They Should Investigate Themselves First

The State of Lebanon and UNIFIL are reportedly conducting an investigation into the IDF raid capturing a senior Lebanese naval operative last night, according to Naharnet.

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati has also instructed the Lebanese Foreign Minister to file a complaint over the incident to the UN Security Council.

Unlike the IDF, which openly stated that the raid was official and meant to capture a senior Hezbollah terrorist, Lebanese state media reportedly avoided identifying the man being taken as a Hezbollah operative and even avoided naming the force which raided the town where he resided.

Other Arab media sources reporting on the raid did suggest that the operative had connections or affiliation with Hezbollah.
