Nature and Parks Authority issues serious warning about flash floods in Israel

As a result of the weather forecast for the next few days, the Nature and Parks Authority is concerned about the possibility of flash flooding in Israel.

In preparation for the expected weather in the coming days, the Nature and Parks Authority published a warning, urges any people taking trips to avoid entering streams.

They made the following warning:

According to the weather forecast for this coming Shabbat (Saturday 2.11.24), we are concerned about the possibility floods in streams located in southern and eastern Israel.

Therefore, it is absolutely forbidden to enter flowing riverbeds until the water level drops completely, both for pedestrians and for anyone driving.

Do not approach the edge of a stream during a flood because the riverbank could collapse.
