A resident of Holon was caught today (Wednesday) transporting three illegal aliens from Ramallah.

During a search for illegal aliens, Carmel Beach police established checkpoint near Elyakim. The officers noticed a vehicle that aroused their suspicion, and during an inspection of the vehicle it emerged that the three passengers were residents of Ramallah without legal residence permits.

The transporter, a resident of Holon, was interrogated, arrested and imprisoned. The illegal aliens were also arrested and taken for interrogation, and the vehicle was seized and towed to the station.

In another incident yesterday near Yavniel, during an activity by the Northern District police, a shuttle vehicle loaded with passengers was stopped for inspection. After examining the 8 passengers, it turned out that they were all illegal aliens from Judea and Samaria.

An investigation revealed that the eight came to the area to work harvesting olives and that the driver, an Arab resident of Judea and Samaria, was driving without a license in Israel. All the suspects were brought for interrogation, at the end of which some were transferred to PA territory and some were arrested and will be brought to trial.
